Squarespace and other CMS website builders would like you to think that anyone can create their own website. In some respects this is true, you could build your own. However, in order to make your website look great and reflect your brand you will always need a professional designer to do this for you. It takes many years of experience to design a logo, understand typography structure, layout, create a colour palette and select images. All these elements created properly will give you a striking and effective website. Then, if want to customise your website further you will need an experienced a developer.

Simon Lunt is an award winning designer with over 20 years experience working for some of the biggest advertising and design agencies in the world at senior level. These include Saatchi & Saatchi, Mother and Publicis.

He has worked on many high profile projects during his career which includes re-branding Tesco Clubcard, Churchill Insurance, Playboy UK and Scottish Widows.

Applying his award winning agency background he now specialises in Squarespace website design and branding for clients worldwide. These include small to medium sized businesses, exhibitors, shops, artists, musicians, engineers, consultants and professional photographers among others.

The developer on this team, Aimée has worked directly with Squarespace and the evolution of the platform since it's launch in 2003 and goes above and beyond.

If it can be done in Squarespace, Aimee can do it.

Combining expert design with clean and responsive build-out allows us to offer agency level work at a fraction of the cost.

If you require all your copy written or just tidying up we have access to highly experienced writers from high end advertising agency backgrounds.

Please fill out the form below and provide us with as much detail as possible so we can give you an accurate quote. Alternatively you can email us directly.

We always look to reply within 1-3 working days. Please note that if your project requires custom development and emulation of an existing website then this can take longer to provide costs dependent on the complexity. We always vet each project carefully to make sure it can be built in Squarespace and therefore prevent running into problems later in the process.

Site assets (text copy and images) are critical to site development and structure. We can pull copy and page structure out of your current site if you have one. Or supply us with a copy document.

The best way to send assets such as images is to a Dropbox account within a shared folder that we can access. If you don’t have a Dropbox account or need assistance with setting that up, please let us know.

We can size all your images but the originals you supply *must* be a minimum size of 1500px on the long edge and saved as 100% quality JPGs. Any downloadable files such as PDFs/brochures etc, will also need to be supplied which can be uploaded to Dropbox as well, or, e-mailed directly to us as attachments.

We will create a Squarespace account to house your site. Once the project is complete, we will hand-off site ownership and subscription payment to you.

We will work on the design and layout based on any material you have sent us to review, any demo site we produced, and other examples.

Once we have a general framework, e.g.: homepage, navigation and some inner pages showing site design and style, we will ask for feedback.

We will look to meet any stipulated deadline for your site completion. However, we prefer not to work to specific phases as that stifles the process and constricts the design itself to a ‘phase date’ which is proven to be inefficient. The best results occur from organic development where ideas can be honed and implemented. As designers we chop and change and explore as many options as we can over the period of the project. This approach, in our experience, produces the best work and allows ideas to breathe and evolve so that you have a beautiful, functional site.

We will of course keep you in the loop throughout your site development and design so that you can provide feedback in the process and know that everything is on track.

Other than the quote we have supplied the only other fee involved is the Squarespace subscription. The beauty of Squarespace is that you can manage all the content yourselves going forward. We will always be on hand to help/advise additionally.

We will supply you with a walk-through video of your site on delivering as well as provide support information for reference with tutorials and videos from Squarespace to have on hand.

Note that further work will be charged at £80 per hour but we only foresee you needing us to do added work should you desire extra functionality/design. Again, normal management can be done sitewide yourselves within the platform interface easily, once the design and layout is in place.

Browser testing no longer means attempting to make a website look the same in browsers of different capabilities or on devices with different size screens. It means ensuring that the design scales appropriately to the capabilities of the user’s browser or device which is part of the production vetting process.

Desktop browser testing: We test our work in current versions of major desktop browsers including those made by Apple (Safari), Google (Chrome), Microsoft (Internet Explorer), Mozilla Firefox and Opera.

Mobile browser testing: Testing popular small-screen devices is essential in ensuring that a person’s experience of a design is appropriate to the capabilities of the device they are using. We test our work in:

iOS Safari, Google Chrome Android Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera Mini

Working with Simon is an education, the process is a journey. His ability to distill our brand was remarkable and we ultimately undertook a visual identity redesign. The resulting brand statement and web presence is crisp, relevant, intuitive and engaging. We have had nothing but great reviews. The Squarespace engine allows us to refresh effortlessly, post to our blog on the fly, automatically update our social media platforms, manage our identity assets and provides remarkable marketing opportunities.

We chose Simon at Luntdesign after looking at several Squarespace designers. His experience and work shone through. We are very happy with our logo and website - the clean style will see us through for many years to come.

While I originally intended to work with Luntdesign on some limited updates to our site - Simon's vision quickly won out, and we immediately progressed to a full site and logo re-design - effectively re-imagining Entropy's entire brand identity, a result that has garnered a significant response from clients, customers, and the industry at large. And most important of all, we absolutely love it.

Simon has been a pleasure to work with. He has guided the whole process and has created something eye-catching that really helps me stand out. Initially we started with just the website, but I was so pleased with it that he's now created my whole brand identity including, logos, cards, portfolios, books and my app!
